Sneaker Review: Nike Foamposite Safari
The Safari Foamposites released on Nov. 27 2013 was the first pair of foamposites I ever purchased. (so yes i missed out on the galaxy's) I love the all white box they come in. I don't know but it's something about that white on white box that gives that something special vibe. NOW- If you watch the Trinidad James 1st and 15th, you will remember he said you have to feel the shoe to understand how incredible this sneaker is. That was actually one of the first things I did today after I received my foams. Here's the deal they have a very distinct texture and you can feel the dots on the sneaker....AMAZING! The strangest thing I noticed about the design of the shoe, aside from it being this wavy sleek type shoe in itself, is on the toe, I cant really say theres a defined toe box the laces start almost at the toe of the shoe. Look from the top, its a little weird. Now when it comes to size, I did a little research to figure out how the sizing is on this shoe. I read online that the shoe runs small and to buy half a size up. Then I ran into someone at my 9-5 who said they run true to size. Soooo I wasnt too sure what to do. I have a unique foot. I can wear a size 7Y in almost every Jordan out except the 3's and 6's and feel fine for most of the day. If I go up to a 7.5 I can wear them the entire day with no problem, but based on my actual shoe size for heels, converted to a mens shoe I am suppose to buy an 8.5 on the larger end but most of the time I buy an 8 because it fits nice, not too much toe space. So for the foams I bought an 8 and with no sock on because they have the nice built in sock. Well I would have to recommend that especially if you plan on wearing socks with your foams, buy them half a size up, because my toes had pretty much zero wiggle room. Overall, I love the shoe. Im happy with my first pair of foams, they wont be my last.
